volunteering with the Dare County Parks & Recreation Department. We have many
volunteer opportunities for both youth and adults such as:

application by clicking on the link below. There are volunteer trainings
throughout the year and you may be required to attend depending on your specific
volunteer role.
All prospective volunteers have to complete a volunteer application and submit
to a criminal history check prior to being accepted as a DCPR volunteer. You may

Our volunteers are recognized annually at the Volunteer Appreciation Event held
in the spring. If you know someone who has volunteered with DCPR and you would
like to nominate them for the “Volunteer of the Year” award, please do so by
clicking on the link below, printing the form, filling it out and dropping it
off at your local division office. Youth and adult volunteers are recognized in
all 3 divisions and receive an award for their dedication to the community they
serve.
